New Master of Arts in Computer Game Design

The College of Visual and Performing Arts is pleased to announce that the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia has approved our proposal for a new Master of Arts in Computer Game Design. The M.A. degree requires 36 credit hours comprised of core courses drawn from interactive design, creative writing for games, the business of games, game design and production, and electives from CVPA or other Mason graduate programs. The Computer Game Design Program is now accepting applications for Fall 2014. If you have any questions, please contact CVPA Graduate Admissions at artsgrad@gmu.edu.

Graduation Intent: Spring and Summer 2014 graduates, please visit the graduation website at http://registrar.gmu.edu for instructions on how to apply to graduate.

Spring Graduates: The last day to apply online was February 21, 2014.

Late Graduation Forms: Should you miss the February deadline to file your intent to graduate, please fill out the Late Graduation Application found at http://registrar.gmu.edu/graduation/lategradapp.html. Students who file later than March 25 will have no guarantee that their name will appear in the CVPA Convocation program. Notify your program of your late application.

Summer Graduates: Registration to apply to graduate opens January 29, 2014. Please file your intent to graduate by March 24, 2014 so your name will be included in the 2014 CVPA Convocation program.

cVPA CONVOCATION

The College of Visual and Performing Arts Convocation is Friday, May 16, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in Center for the Arts Concert Hall.  Convocation participants must arrive no later than 1:15 p.m. in the outside plaza between Concert Hall and Mason Hall.

CVPA Convocation is a ticketed event.

Convocation ticket information:

Each graduate may request up to 6 tickets for guests.

March 18

Convocation tickets are available for graduates.  Tickets must be claimed by graduates with their Mason ID at the Center for the Arts Ticket Office on the Fairfax Campus.

April 15

All unclaimed tickets will be released and graduating students may request additional tickets in-person at Concert Hall Ticket Office on the Fairfax campus.

Convocation tickets must be claimed by graduates with their Mason ID at the Center for the Arts Ticket Office on the Fairfax Campus.  Ticket Office hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm.

Convocation is a General Admission event (no assigned seating).  General Admission tickets cannot be reprinted.  Do not lose your tickets.
