House Management Assistant

College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA)

Reports to Front of House Manager

Overall responsibility
The House Management Assistant is responsible for day to day operations in the Front of House Office. They are responsible for prep work for events in the Center for the Arts, post event reporting and record keeping.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Maintain internal calendar of events for the Front of House events
  • Maintain personnel files for the usher staff
  • Create and share recaps on staffing for events for billing purposes
  • Create floorplans for lobby events in the Center for the Arts
  • Create Event Sheets
  • Set lobby for events
  • Supervise and Coordinate the Set Up Usher Team
  • Maintain past event files
  • Other duties as assigned

Consults with:

  • Scheduling and Events Coordinator
  • ES Staff
  • Usher Supervisors
  • Costume Shop


  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Publisher)
  • Good organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Shiftboard or similar online scheduler tool a plus
