Culminating capstone course in producing and directing that results in the completion of a senior project and related written and visual promotional materials. A senior project in Directing and Producing is constituted by a short fiction or documentary film, webseries episode(s) or parallel film project with a running time of 15 minutes or less.

Culminating seminar devoted to analyzing and synthesizing knowledge and skills gained through undergraduate course work as it applies to film, video studies, and professional development.

When Offered: Fall, Spring

Hours of Lecture or Seminar per week: 3

Students will be required to develop and present written materials and documentation related to the development and presentation of their works, as well as present their work in FAVS 100 Film and Video Studies Colloquium as part of their formal oral presentation.

Credits: 3

Prerequisites:

Successful completion of FAVS 498 (C or better) and permission of instructor.
Restricted to Film and Video Studies majors only. Must have permission of instructor.
