This fall, CVPA inspires Northern Virginia with off-campus performances in Fairfax and Reston. Along with the fall series of Lunchtime with the Arts at Mason performances at Reston Town Center, students will also be featured in Mason Arts at Old Town Hall (3999 University Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030), a new series of events in the City of Fairfax.
From music by Mason’s nationally-recognized jazz studies program, a performance by a professional tuba-euphonium quartet featuring Mason alums, to excerpts from the School of Theater’s fall musical Rags, faculty, student, and alumni performers from George Mason University's College of Visual and Performing Arts will offer free lunchtime concerts in Reston Town Square Park. Join us for an energizing addition to your lunch hour and experience the amazing variety of the "Arts at Mason."
This series is presented by the Reston Community Center (RCC) in partnership with George Mason University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts, and hosted by the Reston Town Center Association. The location for the Sep 12 – October 24 performances will be Reston Town Square Park (Corner of Market Street and Explorer Street). In addition, Mason will be participating in a series of events called Mason Arts at Old Town Hall, Fairfax, VA. The City of Fairfax is working with young Mason musicians, vocalists and film makers to present a vibrant series of events for the entertainment of the City's residents and visitors.
