Penny T. Hollis is an independent filmmaker from Louisiana that holds a Master’s of Fine Arts in Film from Howard University and a BA in Mass Communications from Grambling State University. Hollis specializes in telling the untold stories revolving around her rich southern heritage and traditions. Working with a creative team of storytellers, Hollis is dedicated to unveiling the truth about humanity, highlighting the joys and tragedies of today's society, and inspiring audiences to dialogue on the issues we wish to change. As a woman of color, Hollis strives to empower women of all ethnicities through film. She has worked in post production on shows for Discovery, National Geographic, Smithsonian Channel and others for over 5 years. In addition, Hollis has written several screenplays.
