Biography

In addition to being a professor of dance at Mason, Jim Lepore is a member of the faculty of the White Mountain Summer Dance Festival. Lepore has performed with Carolyn Carlson’s La Fenice Dance/Theater (Venice) and the José Limón Company. Certified in Laban Movement Analysis, he earned his MFA at Temple University, and since 1996, has directed study-abroad workshops in Afro-Cuban dance in Santiago, Cuba. He has instructed workshops and choreographed nationally and internationally, including a 2003 collaboration with Cuban choreographer Narciso Medina that premiered in Havana, Cuba.
