2005, BM Music EducationJessica graduated from Mason in 2005 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, playing French horn in multiple ensembles. Most recently, she has been hired as a full-time Music Librarian at the University of Minnesota. Prior to her arrival to Minnesota, she completed a Ph.D. in Musicology at the University of Maryland (2016), where she studied Italian-language comic opera of the mid-eighteenth century and the music of Antonio Salieri, and a Master of Library Science with a specialization in Music Librarianship at Indiana University, Bloomington (2018).
BA Photography, 2007Adrift is an ongoing series about home-where it is and what constitutes it. As a Palestinian-American, my definition of home continues to change as I create these images made through in-camera multiple exposures during travels through places I have a cultural or tangible connection to. Laila holds a BA in Photography and Arts and Culture from the New Century College in 2007.
Adjunct Faculty, Computer Game Design, CVPA Computer Game Design alumnus, CVPAOrin Adcox is an entrepreneur and game developer that co-owns a small game design studio located at the Virginia Serious Game Institute in which he creates Serious Games for various clientele within a myriad of subject matters. This includes everything from aid allocation in foreign countries to evaluating social and emotional skills of young students through games. When not working at his company, Orin teaches undergraduate classes in Mason’s game design program.
2011, BFA, DanceSince graduating from George Mason University with a BFA in Dance, I have been enjoying life in New York City performing with Elisa Monte Dance. I was first introduced to Elisa's work my sophomore year at Mason and because of that exposure I began to pursue classes and auditions with the company. I also had the pleasure of performing with San Francisco based company, LEVYDance, in their NYC tour of "Romp". Along with dancing, I received my Pilates certification and have been teaching throughout the city as well as attending as many classes/workshops as possible.
2014, BFA PaintingRaymond graduated from George Mason University in 2014 with a BFA in painting. Over the course of his career, he has been involved with many other traditional mediums of art; which have converged into his mode of crafting work. He currently lives and works in Springeld Virginia, where he is developing interactive work in both sculpture and installation. After graduation, he has established himself in a multifaceted gallery and art services career.
2016, BM Music EducationOcie is the Vocal & General Music teacher and chorus director at Rosaryville Elementary School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland where he is building a music program and assisting his colleagues to incorporate Music and the Arts into the daily curriculum. Rosaryville Elementary school is one of the arts-integration schools within Prince George’s County.
2013, BFA Computer Game DesignWhat made you choose Mason's Computer Game Design program? My brother attended GMU before me, and it was relatively close to friends and family so it seemed like a good fit.
2012, Theater, BAMichael Burgos is an internationally award-winning and acclaimed writer and performer. He holds a Diplôme from École Philippe Gaulier and a B.A. in Theater from George Mason University, where he received the Chris Parsons Acting Award, the Greenspring Players Scholarship, and the Outstanding Achievement in the Major Award.
2011, Film and Video Studies, BAAfter graduating from Mason's Film and Video Studies program in 2011, Mannon started working as a part-time Sports ENG Camera Operator for NBA Wizards, NHL Capitals, WNBA Mystics and NCAA Georgetown Hoyas home games, as well as a contracted, full-time Assistant Editor at Discovery Channel with WilmaTV Inc. He spent his free time working as a Director of Photography on several Mason Thesis Films, which led to his first paid DP job on a small VA indie film, Admins.
