Arts Opportunities for Mason Students

  • Volunteer Opportunities: Founders Gallery serves as an experiential learning environment, providing graduate students with the opportunity to organize gallery exhibitions and public programs. Submit your letter of interest.
  • Chance to Exhibit Work: Students can submit exhibition proposals for shows of their work. Email for more information.
  • Free Exhibitions: In Founders Hall Gallery Mason students can view exhibitions of work by professional artists, as well as student and faculty work.

Creating Through Community Collaboration

Founders Hall Gallery, located in Van Metre Hall at Mason Square (formerly the Arlington Campus), is coordinated by Mason Exhibitions and showcases the University's Art Collection as well as other visiting artist exhibitions and Mason student work.

Exhibition, collaboration, and sponsorship proposals are welcomed from Mason affiliates, as well as community members. Please email Mason Exhibitions for more information.

Location

Parking: On-campus visitor parking is available in the Vernon Smith Parking Garage. To access Vernon Smith Parking Garage, use the alley behind Founders Hall, turning off either Kirkwood Drive or Washington Boulevard at the traffic signal between Giant and Metropolitan Building. (Come down the hill and go past the GMUF garage and the Original Building loading dock.)

Off-campus metered parking is available on the surrounding streets. There is also a parking lot nearby on Herndon Street.

Getting Here: Founders Hall Gallery can be accessed through the main entrance doors of Founders Hall. The Gallery is located at the far left end of the first floor.
