TheaterSpace

TheaterSpace is a flexible venue that is home to many of the School of Theater’s productions, including faculty-directed Mainstage productions, the Studio Series, Ten-Minute Play Festivals, Mason Fringe, and special events.

Students can flex their acting muscles by auditioning for a role in a TheaterSpace production, or simply enjoy the performances as part of the audience.

Flexible Space for Innovative Theater

TheaterSpace is home to the School of Theater’s Studio Series featuring works directed and produced by students such as Cloud Nine and Peter Pan: The Boy Who Hated Mothers.

The venue is also home for Mason Fringe and the annual Ten-Minute Play Festival featuring works written by Mason students.

The space often hosts Mason Improv and Mason Cabaret events as well as special events with well-known theater professionals.

TheaterSpace is a 140-seat flexible black box venue on the lower level of the deLaski Performing Arts Building on the Fairfax Campus.

Location

Parking: Covered parking is available in the Mason Pond Parking Deck on Mason Pond Drive adjacent to the Center for the Arts.

Getting Here: In the Center for the Arts building. Walk past the main doors of the Center for the Arts and continue along the side of the building, parallel to Holton Plaza. You will see the entrance ahead and to the left. Once inside, TheaterSpace is located to your right through the double doors.
