A Spacious Gallery for Thought-Provoking Art

Located in the award-winning Art and Design Building on the Fairfax campus of George Mason University, the Gillespie Gallery of Art offers a diverse program of exhibitions by emerging and established contemporary artists, thesis exhibitions by current MFA candidates, and a semi-annual School of Art and Design undergraduate senior exhibition.

The Gallery is committed to the presentation of innovative new art and creating a forum for active dialogue, research, and engagement with contemporary visual ideas and artistic practices. Its shows represent a wide sampling of art and artists, as well as the processes involved in their creation.
