Mason alumna, Hyunji Kim (B.M. Music, 2015), was chosen as the composer and performer for a 2018 PyeongChang Olympics promotional video. Her original composition was chosen from a very competitive field of many entrants. Hyunji is currently completing her master's degree in piano pedagogy at Ewha Women's University in Seoul, South Korea. She earned her bachelor's degree in piano performance as a student of Dr. Linda Monson, where she was privileged to perform as a piano concerto soloist with the Mason Symphony Orchestra.
