Can’t decide what to get that special someone who has everything? Look no further! Tickets to a spring 2023 Hylton Center performance is an experience your family and friends are going to love, and there’s something for everyone! Also enjoy great savings by subscribing to three or more performances.

Starting in January, the Concerto Budapest Symphony Orchestra (1/22), one of Hungary’s oldest and most vibrant ensembles, features piano prodigy Zoltán Fejérvári performing Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor. Audiences will also enjoy a concert program that includes Dvořák’s popular and beloved New World Symphony. Or, if an evening of hilarious, high-flying pandemonium is what you crave, the zany acrobats of Machine de Cirque (2/4 and 2/5) delight as they transform a dull, black and white art exhibition into a colorful feast for the senses. Next, don’t miss the Hylton Center debut of Mark Morris Dance Group and Music Ensemble (2/11) in Pepperland, a celebration of The Beatles, under the direction of legendary choreographer Mark Morris. Thanks to Morris’s distinctive wit, musicality, and inventiveness, Pepperland transforms The Beatles’ music into a performance that fills the stage with color and high-energy dance.

The Hylton Family Series continues in February withLlama Llama Live (2/12) by Bay Area Children’s Theatre. Based on the beloved children’s book series by Anna Dewdney and Netflix TV series by the same name, this clever, imaginative, and heartwarming musical will have the whole family in stitches!

Looking for an outing in February to beat the winter doldrums? Check out Hylton Center Artist-in-Residence and two-time GRAMMY Award-winning artist Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience (2/25) on the American Roots Series. Savor the soulful, rootsy sound born in South Louisiana. Simien, an 8th generation Louisiana Creole, has dedicated his career to shattering myths about what indigenous Zydeco roots music is—and is not. Performing two shows in the intimate Gregory Family Theater, the Zydeco Experience will be an unforgettable concert by one of the most respected and accomplished artists in American roots music today. As a Hylton Center Artist-in-Residence, Simien will also work with the community through classes and workshops during the week leading up to his February 25 performance—just in time for Mardi Gras!
